U.K. endorses OpenDocument Format


Nexor is pleased that the OpenDocument Format (ODF) has been endorsed by the UK Government (see full article at http://gcn.com/articles/2009/02/26/uk-endorses-odf.aspx?s=security_020309. The growing need for interoperability between government departments and non-government organisations includes the increased need to interchange documents, including those containing sensitive data. ODF will simplify the overdue standardisation of document labelling and contribute greatly to secure handling.

Enjoying the sunshine and dodging a few rain showers, the Army, Royal Navy and RAF met up at Old Thorns on 8th June for their annual charity golf day, this year sponsored by Nexor. A 9-hole Texas Scramble in the morning was followed by Team Stableford in the afternoon during which the Army managed to retrieve the trophy from the RAF. £1,200 was raised during the day, which was donated to the Army Benevolent Fund.
